At Sunstone, our goal is to create a welcoming environment where people can connect with, and cultivate their very best self. Instead of focusing on an isolated physical activity, we facilitate an integrated body, mind, and life practice.

Since we opened our doors almost 18 years ago, Sunstone has grown to include multiple studios throughout the Dallas and Austin areas, including our Skillman Live Oak studio. Collectively, we now have 250 highly-trained and skilled instructors teaching over 800 classes a week. 

What You Can Expect at Our Skillman Live Oak Studio in Dallas

Sunstone was built around the Hot Yoga series (originally called Fire Yoga) which is still our signature yoga class today. Our Hot Yoga classes provide a one-of-a-kind mind and body workout in a heated studio. The heat helps to keep muscles warm and flexible, while encouraging the body to sweat and release toxins.

Sunstone’s 6 Styles of Yoga : Dallas

  1. Hot Yoga: Sweat, stretch, and build stamina with an intermediately paced series of sequenced yoga postures in one of our hot studios.
    • This class and its heat activate higher oxygen flow in the body which significantly increases calorie burn
    • This series works on building strength and increasing range of motion
    • Our signature class is suitable for both beginners and intermediates 
  1. Hot Yoga Lite: Enjoy a less strenuous version of our Hot Yoga series in a less hot environment at a slower pace. 
    • This is Sunstone’s lowest intensity yoga class with a focus on alignment and a strong foundation set at a moderate pace
    • Ideal for beginners, students returning to their practice, or anyone looking for a lighter fitness experience
  1. Hot Flow: Challenge your strength and balance with an intermediate yoga flow sequence intensified by a hot room.
    • A combination of everything you love about hot yoga and vinyasa flow in a single class.
    • Pace yourself with an intermediate yoga flow sequence, once you master the movements each class will be a calorie-burning challenge
    • If you are new to the heat and to flow style yoga we recommend starting in hot yoga
  1. Flow Yoga: Connect the breath with yoga movements and music sequenced to improve endurance and balance. 
    • Flow Yoga is Sunstone’s Vinyasa flow class composed of postures linked with specific transitional movements and synchronized breath
    • This class is set to music and focuses on strengthening the legs and increasing range of motion in the spine and upper neck
    • This is Sunstone’s most energetic yoga offering
  1. Pure Yoga: Build confidence and skill through the fluid movement of accessible yoga postures at a moderate pace. 
    • This master sequence is just what you need to get in the yoga flow with plenty of time and space to learn but with a steady fluid sequence of movements. 
    • A great way for new students to experience the wonders of vinyasa, you’ll feel completely rejuvenated after this class
  1. Yoga Calm: Focus on your balance and concentration through the Hot Yoga sequence in a warm, candlelit room with music. 
    • Sunstone’s Yoga Calm series is based on our signature Hot Yoga postures and performed in a gentler environment
    • The carefully sequenced yoga poses are set to music in a dimly lit studio setting with minimal instruction
    • We recommend that students familiarize themselves with the Hot Yoga sequence before attending Yoga Calm to be able to follow the posture cueing
