HIIT workouts have been growing significantly in popularity recently. With HIIT group classes popping up in more and more gyms and studios across the country. Despite the popularity, there are still some misconceptions and misunderstandings about HIIT training.

The actual activity of the workout can vary, but typically HIIT training includes bodyweight and equipment based exercises. What makes it “HIIT”, is the time spent in high intensity vs. rest periods.

Classes Resume

Since I was given the opportunity of growing up overseas as a Missionary girl; I learned at a young age to value the art of learning to understand where concepts originated from – so that would include the practice of Pilates or Yoga. I can share with you what I have learned so far and maybe you might be able to add something of value to your own experiences and journey.

A Message on COVID-19

Cleanliness has always been a priority at SunstoneFIT. Our mats, equipment, and surfaces are cleaned with a safe, EPA-registered, PH-balanced, concentrated detergent that is pseudomonacidal, staphylocidal, salmonellacidal, fungicidal, and virucidal. We have always been especially vigilant about disinfecting our studios during cold and flu season, and with the recent spread of coronavirus COVID-19, we have redoubled our efforts at providing a clean environment. 

We are also working hard to keep class availability high so that classes are not crowded and our members have reasonable options for practicing with comfortable social distancing. 

Build Good Food Habits

Eating fruits and vegetables is all about creating a habit and taste for it! The more fruits and vegetables you eat, the better you feel and ultimately you will like them. No reason to become a vegan cold turkey over-night, give your gut the opportunity to improve over time. Slow your roll, allowing for better enzymes and digestion over time.
